Poker Glossary - Terms and Lingo

Action
The player’s turn to act in the round of betting.
Ante
The compulsory bet placed by all the poker players before the cards are dealt.
All-In

Big blind

Blank

Burn

Check

Connector
The starting hand that contains two or more cards in sequence.
Dead money
Money contributed into the pot by poker player who isn’t in the hand.
Draw
